THE SANTA YNEZ PIRATE PARENT TEACHER ORGANIZATION WAS FORMED IN 2024 TO SUPPORT THE STUDENTS, TEACHERS AND STAFF OF THE SANTA YNEZ VALLEY UNION HIGH SCHOOL THROUGH ON CAMPUS AND IN CLASSROOM EFFORTS AND ACTIVITIES.

  • Mark is a lifelong Santa Ynez Valley Resident and SYHS graduate from the class of 1996. Today he lives in Los Olivos with his wife Erika and their two children Kendall (15) and Ryder (12). Raised in a family of equine veterinarians, Mark took an early interest in equine health and nutrition. He studied Agriculture Business and Food Science at Cal Poly State University. In 1997, while in college, Mark co-founded Platinum Performance, a nutrition focused animal health company. For over 20 years Mark led the company as CEO until its acquisition in 2019.

  • As the son of an elementary school teacher and thea product of California public schools, Brian Robinson has been committed to supporting Santa Barbara local public schools for nearly 20 years. Brian is a former College School District School Board Member, past President of the Santa Ynez Elementary PTA, past Vice President of the Santa Ynez High School PTSA, and currently serves on the Executive Board of Santa Barbara County Education Office's Partners in Education.

    Prior to moving to the Santa Ynez Valley Brian was the President of the Harding School Foundation, a Board Member of the Santa Barbara Education Foundation, and served on a variety of committees at the Santa Barbara Unified School District. Additionally, he been involved in a variety of business organizations and services clubs including as the Chair of the Santa Barbara Police Department's Citizen Advisory Committee and Associate Board Member of Old Spanish Days Fiesta and their Stock Horse Show and Rodeo.

    Brian, his wife, two Pirate daughters, dogs Roscoe and Duke, and bunny Billy Bob have lived in the Santa Ynez Valley for over a decade

  • Laura DeJohn has been a volunteer in our community since she moved here nearly 20 years ago. She has been a volunteer coach, room parent, PTO co-president, and fundraising & logistics team member for both church and school foundation events. After 11 years as a stay at home parent, she now owns and operates her business here in the valley. She and her husband, a Pirate alumnus have two kids, both current Pirates.

  • With a strong belief in public education, Anastasia has been actively involved in the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) for many years. In addition to her PTA work, she has volunteered at the Solvang Library, PHP, Parks n Rec and AYSO (board member, referee, coach).

    As a Pilates teacher, she recognizes the importance of recreation in promoting health and well-being serving 4 years on the SYHS Boys Soccer Booster club. Anastasia lives in Solvang with her husband and two kids, a graduating Pirate senior and an incoming freshman.

  • Sandra Corona, a native of Santa Ynez Valley, has dedicated over a decade to volunteering in our community. Her volunteer work spans school and community events, fundraisers, and served as a Team Mom for JV football at SY High School. Proudly, she is an alumna of Santa Ynez High School's class of 2005, with both her husband and daughter also graduating from the same school. Currently, she has one son in high school and another in middle school.
